On Tuesday, 1 December, the Parliament of Latvia (Saeima) at the second reading adopted the State Budget for 2010 and budget-related draft laws, which were submitted by the government. 

The Draft Law on the State Budget for 2010 was adopted at the final reading with 64 members of parliament voting for, 30 voting against.

The budget law package consists of 73 laws, of which 71 laws were amended and two new draft laws were adopted.
